It’s your MySpace site for the non-cyber world.
The new Commons is your Commons. Think about it. The new Commons is a great place to meet friends, chat, join groups, post bulletins, listen to music and check out other people’s profiles (just don’t stare). It’s like a MySpace page! Except there’s lots of food – and that’s pretty hard to come by on-line.
So come on in. Chill. Hang. Nosh. Veg. Or do something really crazy… like study.

Future Phases
Future Commons Expansion phases will include a beautiful piazza, a lap top garden, additional dining and retail options, and the demolition of the old cafeteria! So be prepared to be dazzled yet again! Phase Two is scheduled to be finished in late 2008 -- marking the completion of UCR’s premier student-centered facility, fully on a par with any campus in the UC system.
Construction Phase
It took two full years for our new Commons to rise from a flat patch of dirt. But you can see it all in just 20 seconds.
